The Religious Studies major has prepared me for the world by teaching me how to understand and interact with people from various cultures, backgrounds and religious patronage. When I was finishing my degree, I did research on the relationship between religion and disability, which showed how far society has come in the treatment of people with disabilities.
My Religious Studies degree provided a forum to academically explore the past, present, and future of our belief systems. It has truly broadened my horizons of personal thought, and has given me an avenue to connect to my patients on a higher level of intellectual discussion.
I graduated from the University of Arizona in the spring of 2014 with a double major in Religious Studies and Psychology. Although I was accepted to the Arizona Teaching Fellows program, I chose to travel to South Korea in August of that year to teach English as a Second Language in a middle school.
