I am currently a third-year medical student at Kansas City University, hoping to match into a surgical or women's health residency after graduation. A degree from the College of Humanities has given me insight into how people function on a different level than what STEM has provided me. Religion is something that guides individuals in how they choose to live and what decisions they will make. Majoring in Religious Studies has allowed me to better understand these influences and recognize my own biases when working with people of different backgrounds and belief systems.
