Professor Simmons participates in conference at Penn

Professor Caleb Simmons was invited and recently participated in "Aesthetics, Social Change, and the Politics of Culture: A Conference in Honor of Professor Indira V. Peterson" part of the New Cultural Histories of South India Conference Series at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. 

Professor Simmons' paper "Aesthetics and Social Change in Beṭṭada Cāmuṇḍi, a Kannada Folksong" is part of his upcoming book project Singing the Goddess Into Place (under advanced contract with SUNY Press).
