Combine a Care, Health, and Society major with a major in Religious Studies for Health Professionals for in-depth studies of the impact of religion on health and healthcare.
Course of Study
Students pursuing a double major in CHS and RSHP may double count up to 12 units (4 courses) for both majors, including the following:
CHS 393: Internship (3 units) (can replace RELI 493 in the RSHP major)
Select 3 additional courses (9 units) from the following:
- RELI 303: Spirituality & Sickness: Religion & Health in the U.S.
- RELI/PSY 336: Spirituality, Psychology & the Mind
- RELI 406: Religious Diversity in Healthcare: Intercultural Training
- CHS 306: Interprofessional Care
- CHS 313: Health & Med in Classical Antiquity (Crosslisted: CLAS, RELI)
Beyond these 12 shared credits, students will need to fulfill all additional requirements for both the CHS major and the RSHP major.
